The Research and Evaluation Department works closely with local, provincial, and national research organizations such as Memorial University of Newfoundland and Health Canada in carrying out applied health research. As a regular activity, the Centre provides researchers with aggregate information which pose no risk to individual privacy.
If a researcher requires record-level or identifying information, the Centre will conduct a full review of the request to ensure that best efforts are made to resolve or mitigate any risk to the privacy of individuals. Please note that the research must also be approved by a local research ethics board.
All researchers, including those employed with the Centre or other external agencies, are held to the same standards of privacy protection.
