TELEPATHOLOGY

Telepathology will enable health care providers across the province to view, manage, share and electronically store digital pathology images and related data on a secure computer system from any pathology laboratory location within the Newfoundland and Labrador.

The Telepathology Network is a collaborative initiative between NLCHI, the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador and Canada Health Infoway in conjunction with strong partnerships with all Regional Health Authorities. The current focus of the project is to enable the use of the Telepathology solution for secondary consultation, education, and quality assurance activities while establishing best practices and procedures.
