Registry Integrity Unit (RIU)
The RIU ensures the most up-to-date demographic information is maintained on each resident of Newfoundland and Labrador in the Client Registry.
The Client Registry is the first building block of the Health Information Network (HIN) and will enable person-specific clinical information to be shared between multiple regions and sources as the HIN is further developed. The success of the Client Registry is in a "clean" current and accurate database. In order to create and maintain an accurate Client Registry, the RIU works with all stakeholders to identify gaps and/or inconsistencies in data and resolve them.
