Patient Privacy
The Pharmacy Network has strong security features to protect a patient's personal health information. Some individuals may want the ability to further control access to their personal health information. These individuals can mask or hide their information with password protection and limit access to only the health care professionals with whom they choose to provide their password. There is also a record of each person who views a medication profile and you can submit a request to view this record by calling the Centre for Health Information at 1-877-752-6006.
Please note, if you have masked your information and experience an emergency, e.g., you are unable to speak or provide your password to unmask; there is an emergency process for health professionals to follow to unmask your information. You will be notified if this happens.
